Frequently Asked Questions

what is a professional organizer?

According to the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO), a professional organizer supports evaluation, decision-making and actions around objects, space and data; helping clients achieve desired outcomes regarding function, order and clarity.

Do i have to be there while you organize?

You only need to be involved in the editing or decluttering stage. This is the decision-making part of the process — determining what items are the most important to you and fit the intention of the space. After that, you can let us do the rest!

Do i have to declutter?

Well, likely yes. We all have some forgotten or unneeded items lurking in our closets or cabinets. Remember, we are working on creating a space with your most loved and needed items that fit the intention of each space.

what happens to the items i don’t want?

We will sort items into Trash - Donate - Recycle, or other variations (like Give to Friend, Move to Another Room, etc). We try to have minimal things going to the landfill. Upon completion of the session, we will remove one load of donations at no charge.

how long will my project take?

This is a difficult question to answer as there are a lot of factors that will affect how long a project will take. Obviously, the size of the space and how decisive a client is during the decluttering stage play the largest role. We will give our best estimate during the consultation.

will i need to buy a ton of bins and other organization items?

Not necessarily. Most households have previously purchased items to try to get organized and these can be repurposed! We will outline some suggested items, if necessary, and only proceed with utilization of those items upon approval.

how do you accept payment?

We accept cash, checks, credit cards and Venmo.
